Join UOWN for our summer quarterly monitoring event Saturday, August 14th (rain or shine).  The event starts at 9 a.m. at Ben Burton Park on Mitchell Bridge Road in Athens, and is free and open to everyone -- no experience necessary.  After a brief orientation and some light breakfast fare (with coffee), trained leaders will take volunteers to various stream sites in the Athens area where you will monitor for biological and chemical water quality.  Groups will return to Ben Burton Park by 12 or 1 p.m. to compile results.
